Travis Clark, Founder – Restore Our Black Community

Restore Our Black Community was born out of faith, reflection, and a deep belief that God places purpose inside every individual—regardless of their past or circumstances. Growing up, I lacked consistent positive role models and guidance, and, like many young people in underserved communities, I faced challenges that could easily have defined my future. Through life’s trials, I came to understand that God’s grace, mercy, and direction can turn even the most difficult experiences into lessons meant to uplift others.  After my release from prison, I felt called to work with youth who were facing the same obstacles.

I knew firsthand how poverty, broken homes, and systemic barriers can create traps that feel impossible to escape. But I also knew that with faith, accountability, and the right support, transformation is possible. My own journey is proof that setbacks do not have to be the end of the story.

Through my relationships with professional athletes and urban music entertainers, I saw an opportunity to use influence for purpose. When young people hear honest testimonies from individuals who share their background—who grew up in similar neighborhoods and overcame similar struggles—hope becomes real. Bringing individuals like Green Bay Packers wide receiver Geronimo Allison into our communities allows youth to see that success is not reserved for the few but is achievable through discipline, faith, and perseverance.

Restore Our Black Community is grounded in strong values: faith, responsibility, integrity, and service. We believe Black professional athletes and successful individuals have a moral responsibility to reach back and invest in the next generation. This responsibility does not belong solely to institutions—it begins with people who understand the struggle and are willing to stand in the gap.

Our mission is to restore hope, rebuild confidence, and guide youth toward purpose-driven lives. Through mentorship, community engagement, and faith-based values, we are committed to building stronger communities and a better America—one life at a time
